The Simple Key authentication is used to integrate APIs with your UltraCart account. It is suitable for various APIs, including:
- Auto Orders
- Checkout
- Coupon
- Customers
- Data Warehouse
- Fulfillment
- Gift Certificate
- Items
- Orders
- StoreFront
- User
- Webhooks
- Workflow
Follow these steps to create and set up a Simple Key:
1. Login: Access your UltraCart account and go to:
Main Menu → Advanced → Developer Tools.
2. Access API Credentials: On the Advanced Developer Tools page, select the REST APIs option and click the Setup API Credentials button.
3. Add New Application: On the API Management page, go to the Authorized Applications tab and click the New Application button.
4. Configure the Application:
- Enter an Application Name**.
- Choose Simple Key from the Authentication Key drop-down list.
- Optionally, enter Allowed IP Addresses.
- Under Permission Scope, select the specific Read/Write permissions required for the API.
5. Save: Click Save to generate and store your Simple Key.
