How to setup a custom domain

Setting up a custom domain for your TrackFree tracking page can make your business look more professional and create a better experience for your customers. Here's how to do it:

Prerequisite:

• A TrackFree account.
• Access to your domain registrar (where you bought your domain, like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Namecheap, etc.)
  
  

Steps to Follow

1. Choose Your Custom Domain

Decide on the custom domain you want to use (e.g., "track.yourdomain.com").

2. Add Your Custom Domain in TrackFree

• Log in to TrackFree:

           - Go to TrackFree and log in.

• Go to Custom Domain Settings:

           - Select Account > Profile

           - Click on Custom Domain.

• Enter Your Custom Domain:

           - Type in the custom domain (e.g., "track.yourdomain.com").

           - Click Save.

3. Set Up Your DNS

• Log in to Your Domain Registrar:

            Go to the website where you bought your domain (e.g., GoDaddy, Bluehost, Namecheap, etc.)

• Find DNS Settings:

            Look for the DNS management area for your domain.

• Add a CNAME Record:

       Create a new CNAME record:

            -Type: CNAME

            -Enter a hostname or subdomain (For example: tracking )

            -Enter the destination URL as merchant.trackfree.io

(For Godaddy, you can refer to this guide to add a CNAME at Godaddy.)

• Save Changes:

            Save the new DNS record. It might take some time (up to 48 hours) for the changes to work.

4. Verify Your Domain in TrackFree

• Go Back to TrackFree:

           Return to the "Custom Domain" settings in TrackFree.

• Verify Your Domain:

           - Click "Verify" next to your custom domain.

           - TrackFree will check if everything is set up correctly. Once it is verified, your custom domain will be live.
